Together with the Klaipėda University, we are implementing the project „Renewal of the Lithuanian Baltic Sea Environmental Management Strengthening Documents (Programme of Measures)“. Tasks of the project include analysis of the effectiveness and sufficiency of existing measures in relation to economic activities, anthropogenic pressures, environmental protection objectives and indicators of good environmental status, proposal of the new measures and update of the Programme of Measures. In addition, an assessment of the measures proposed in the Baltic Sea Action Plan 2021 in terms of their applicability in Lithuania shall be made, as well as proposals for national legislation on environmental impact assessment, analysis of cost-effectivenessand cost-benefit assessment of the Programme of Measures, review of existing and, if needed, suggestion of new exceptions in accordance with the MSFD.
