Public establishment Center for Environmental policy was founded in 1997 in Vilnius. The company was established by a group of environmental economists. Establishment of the company was initiated by the US Agency for International Development project on Central and Eastern Europe Environmental Economics and Policy. The Agency provided financial support to the Center during the first year of operation. Shortly after establishment the AAPC was joined by several environmental specialists. During the eleven years of operation we have implemented over 120 projects and have extensive experience in the field of implementation and administration of environmental projects. Since 1997 Center for Environmental Policy is actively involved in the process of EU integration. During the official celebration of EU accession (May 2004) the Minister of Environment has expressed his gratitude to the staff of AAPC for assistance in EU integration. |
